to be held during the month of April. All students must audition to be
placed in an ensemble.
Audition requirements for the Symphonic
Band are: 12 major scales, Chromatic Scale (two octave range),
short solo of your choice to show your musicality and a sight-reading selection.
Audition requirements for the Concert
and Ninth Grade Bands are: 6 major scales (C, F, Bb, Eb, Ab, Db Concert),
Chromatic Scale (two octave range), short solo
of your choice to show your musicality and a sight-reading selection.

At the audition process, an ensemble placement
will be made. Each ensemble carries the same class registration
number so no matter which ensemble the student is placed in, the numbers are the
same. We place them in either
the Symphonic Band Section, the Concert Band Section, or the Ninth Grade Band
Section depending on their audition.
All musical
ensembles are year length,
receiving two units of credit.

term) and Band II (second term)
Uprising Sophomores sign up for Band I
(first term) and Band II (second term)
Uprising Juniors sign up for Band III (first
term) and Band III Honors (second term)
Uprising Seniors sign up for Band IV Honors
