Each year, LRHS Bands sponsors a luminary fundraiser to support local communities to light their streets during the holiday season. This year, LRHS Bands offers its luminary kits to Springdale Estates, Stonehenge, and Baybridge communities.
Your first opportunity to help out is coming up next week. On Thursday, November 16th, we will meet in the LRHS Cafeteria after school at 3:00PM to put together newsletters for Stonehenge Subdivision. We will also spend some time sorting and banding together white paper bags in preparation for putting kits together later. Work should be completed by 4:30PM. A sign up sheet will be posted in the band room during lunch this Thursday, November 9th and will remain in the band room through Tuesday, November 14th.
Next, we will need students (and parents) to deliver newsletters to Stonehenge. Newsletters need to be delivered between Friday, November 17 and Sunday, November 19. The newsletters will be available for pick up on Thursday, November 16th at 4:30PM from the LRHS Cafeteria. A sign up sheet for newsletter delivery will also be posted in the band room during lunch this Thursday, November 9th and remain through Tuesday next week. When signing up for delivery, make sure you’ve confirmed that you are available to deliver during the required time and that you have both a driver and a passenger listed.
Band students are encouraged to sign up and help. Proceeds from the luminary kit sale will be divided among the students that help and applied to their band accounts. Requests for sign up via text or email will not be accepted. Students must sign up on the sheets provided.
