Small Ensembles

The following is a list of small ensembles the Leesville Road High School Band Program offers as after school activities:

Jazz Band

The LRHS Jazz Band uses the standard Big Band instrumentation and rehearses and performs music from the Swing Era as well as current Big Band music. The LRHS Jazz Band performs public concerts, school events and civic events as invited. Membership of the Jazz Band is composed of Concert and Symphonic Band members. The group is co-directed by a student officer and Mr. Serina. Rehearsals are conducted after school as needed per performance.

Pep Band

The LRHS Pep Band's primary mission is to perform at the Varsity Men's Basketball home games. The Pep Band does perform for other school or civic functions as invited. Membership of the Pep Band is composed of Concert and Symphonic Band members. The group is conducted by the Symphonic Band Student Director. Rehearsal are conducted after or before school as needed per performance.

Brass Ensembles

The LRHS Brass Ensemble(s) uses standard ensemble instrumentation and performs high quality small ensemble repertoire. The LRHS Brass Ensembles perform school and civic events as invited. Membership is composed from Concert and Symphonic Band members. The groups are conducted by the Symphonic Band Brass Ensembles Director.

Woodwind Ensembles

The LRHS Woodwind Ensemble(s) uses standard ensemble instrumentation and performs high quality small ensemble repertoire. The LRHS Woodwind Ensembles perform school and civic events as invited. Membership is composed from Concert and Symphonic Band members. The groups are conducted by the Symphonic Band Woodwind Ensembles Director.
