SUBJECT:

Instructions for trip and performance of the LHS Symphonic Band at the Marching Band Invitational held at West Johnston High School in Benson, NC on Saturday 8 Oct 22.

DRIVERS:

Bus 1…….Mrs. Colburn

Bus 2…….Mrs. Watts

Truck…….Mr. Slock

CHAPERONES:

Heather Winecoff, Monica Gardner, Erin Carter, Angela Hamilton, Rachel Groff, Erika Kessler, Catherine Pemberton, Marilyn Haney, Mrs. Colburn and Pit Crew.

UNIFORM:

FULL DRESS: Blue Coat, White Coat Belt, White Long Sleeve Shirt that fits!…..Blue Tie, White Pants, White Pants Belt, White Socks, White Shoes and Cap.  Have this packed in your Uniform Bag to be placed on the racks as you arrive to the Studio. When you arrive, you should arrive in your B uniform – Band T- Shirt, Long Blue Jeans, and Tennis Shoes. Please be sure to pack your sweatshirt in your uniform bag.

EQUIPMENT:

All Instruments, Uniforms, Equipment, Pit, Drum Major Stand, Mace (with Eagle atop!) etc., will be loaded in the truck.  We will need all of the EQ to help load.

MUSIC:

Not of this World

MONEY:

You will need money for lunch in Brier Creek and  dinner at the competition.

9:15 …..Rehearse on Main Field

10:15 …Load Truck, Instruments, Pit, Uniforms, etc. BUS DRIVER PRE-CHECK

10:55 …Count-Off

11:05 …Depart for Lunch in Brier Creek

1:15 …..Dress

1:45 …..Warm-up – tune

2:30 …..Gate

2:40 …..Performance, Change back into B uniform – Watch Bands, Eat Dinner

5:30 …..Prelim Awards

The top Eight Bands will compete in the finals. If we are selected, we will be given a new schedule for dressing/warming up and performing. If we do not make finals we will follow this schedule:

6:30….. Depart for LRHS if we do NOT make finals

7:20….. Arrive at LRHS if we do NOT make finals

Performance time for Finals will be RANDOM

10:15….Finals Awards

11:15….Depart for LHS after FINALS

12:05….Arrive LHS – Unload

12:25….Studio closes

NOTE:

PLEASE HAVE RIDES READY AND INSTRUCT THEM NOT TO PARK IN THE DRIVE WAY OF THE MIDDLE SCHOOL…..that is where we need to off load etc. Look Good, Sound Good, and Make Common Sense!!! Do that and you will be successful!! Play the show to the press box at all times!
