SUBJECT:
Instructions for the performance of the LRHS Intermediate Band at the 2023 Music Performance Adjudication (Festival) at Apex High School on Tuesday 28 Mar 23. This is the 2nd State Contest for the Intermediate Band!

UNIFORM:
When you arrive at school, you should bring your concert uniform in a SUIT BAG – Black dress, pearls & black Leesville Character shoes for the girls; tuxedo coat, black pants, black shoes, black socks, bow tie, cummerbund, white shirt for the guys. Please set this aside on MONDAY night as there is no time for forgetting on Tuesday morning!!! Be sure to always have ALL the Uniform on…NEVER just part of it!
EQUIPMENT:
We will need a list from the percussion section as to EVERYTHING we will be using. Instruments, Folios, etc., will be packed after our rehearsal on Tuesday morning. When we get to Apex, make sure we remove all of our percussion instruments/equipment off stage and back into the trailer after the performance…..also bring extra tuners….. with good batteries……we will need them!
MUSIC:
An American March, Hebrew Medley, Rampage!
MONEY:
Make sure to bring money for lunch at Moe’s, Panera, Subway, Pho Xpress, or Great China before MPA OR bring a bag lunch with you. The performance however is FREE and open to the public!!

9:00 ….Students Arrive to 2nd period band as normal, rehearse the spots we need to
9:20 ….Pack-up all the instruments/equipment
9:50…Change into Concert Uniforms
10:10…Count off in Studio, Load Buses
10:20…Depart for Brier Creek for Lunch
10:30…Arrive in Brier Creek for Lunch – You may eat at Moe’s, Panera, Subway, Pho Xpress, or Great China
11:40…Depart for Apex High School

NOTES:
It is our tradition at Leesville to take competition as a serious level of performance. To do this, we do not talk once we arrive at Apex High School until we go back to the bus. DO NOT ASK QUESTIONS, INSTRUCTIONS WILL BE GIVEN IF NEEDED…..This helps us FOCUS…… Inform your rides NOT TO PARK where the buses need to load and unload! Good Luck! Do everything you can to Look Good, Sound Good and make Common Sense! You have been working very hard and I hope the results will show that!!!!
